Interreg NWE Machining 4.0 Project’s Closing Event

The Interreg NWE Machining 4.0 consortium partners assembled in Dublin, Ireland on the 24th of May for the final TOC/TSC/TCC project meeting and on the 25th of May for the closing event which was part of the National Manufacturing and Supply Chain event and exhibition in the RDS, Simmonscourt Dublin.

On the 24th the partners gathered in UCD’s University Club for the final consortium meetings followed by a Laboratory visit (Laboratory for Advanced Manufacturing Simulation & Robotics, UCD Engineering & Materials Science Centre) and Machining 4.0 project demonstration from partners UCD.

 

Then on the 25th of May the group gathered again, this time at the 2022 National Manufacturing and Supply Chain Event and Exhibition where there was a Machining 4.0 booth which included videos of the partners demonstrators along with IMR’s physical demonstrator which was transported from its Mullingar Lab. With an estimated 2000 people footfall, this was an excellent opportunity to for the partners to showcase and explain some of the outcomes of this excellent Interreg Project including the demonstrators and successful SME voucher projects.

At 1pm the Machining 4.0 project coordinator, Pascal Pollet and Chief Technology Officer of iSentiolabs, Garret O’Donnell took to the IoT, Industry 4.0 & Digital Transformation Stage for a keynote. Pascal gave an overview of the project and then introduced Garret who presented on “Machining 4.0: ” A day in the life of a cutting tool”” which explained how iSentiolabs as an SME greatly benefited from the use of an Interreg NWE Machining 4.0 Voucher!
