Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR), a leading Research and Technology Organisation, won a coveted Brandon Hall Group Bronze award for excellence in the “Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for External Training” category for IMR’s ‘Innovation through Robotics’ programme. Irish Manufacturing Research’s blended learning programme, ‘Innovation through Robotics’, supports the Department of Education & Skills through Solas’ Further and Higher Education & Training strategy up to 2024 where the Future National FET strategy Transforming Learning states “employers will adopt new business models and education providers will have to fully embed technology in the delivery of learning or else risk becoming irrelevant.”
Innovation through Robotics specifically supports manufacturing companies in their automation initiatives, enhancing their competitiveness. Supported by Irish Manufacturing Research’s expert instructors, students of the programme create a tailored innovation approach specific for their business. Over 4 weeks, the programme combines business objectives, subject matter, online learning, and experiential learning for the learner. The course introduces learners to state-of-the-art Robotics, including hands-on experience with experts and real-world technology giving them the tools to make a business case for execution.
