IMR to Represent DigiWind at WindEurope 2025 in Copenhagen

Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) is proud to announce our participation in the upcoming WindEurope Annual Event 2025, taking place from 8–10 April at the Bella Center, Copenhagen. As a proud consortium partner of the DigiWind Project, IMR will be actively involved in showcasing the future of wind energy education.

DigiWInd at Wind Europe

Our very own Darragh McShane and Charlie Behan will be attending the event and representing IMR at the DigiWind stand (C3-C112) throughout the week. They will engage with industry leaders, academia, and policymakers to highlight how DigiWind is utilising immersive learning tools and techniques to advance skills development in the renewable energy sector.

DigiWind is an ambitious EU-funded initiative (co-funded by Enterprise Ireland) that aims to educate and certify over 900 master’s students and 10,000 industry professionals within four years. At the heart of the project is the DigiWind Virtual Campus—a cutting-edge digital learning platform designed in collaboration with Higher Education Institutions, Centres of Excellence, and SMEs across Europe.

IMR’s involvement in DigiWind reflects our commitment to digital innovation and sustainable industry practices. “The DigiWind project represents a visionary step forward,” says Darragh McShane, IMR Project Manager. “We’re proud to contribute to this innovative collaborative venture and support the development of interoperable digital learning solutions that will define the future of wind energy training.”

At WindEurope 2025, DigiWind will focus on:

  • Raising awareness of its role in wind energy education;
  • Showcasing upcoming lifelong learning programmes and master courses;
  • Collecting feedback from industry stakeholders to shape future offerings.
