Vision Systems for Robotic Applications

What it is

IMR has a wide range of vision systems for robotics applications such as object identification & picking and inspection. These include 2D cameras, 2D photometric stereo cameras, deflectometry systems, scanners, and 3D cameras, and include:

  • Robotiq Wrist Camera
  • Photoneo PhoXsi Camera
  • Tobii pro Nana
  • Creative webcam
  • Microsoft X Box Kinect for Xbox One
  • Viztronics Z-Flex
  • Keyence Vision
  • Bassler TOF
  • Intel Realsense Depth Camera D435
  • Fanuc 3D Vision Sensor 3DV/400
  • HIK Robot MV-CA004-10GC
  • Zivid ZVD1P-S
  • Kano Webcams

What it’s used for in IMR

In IMR, vision systems for robotics applications are used to de-risk complex applications such as random bin picking, identification of highly variable or reflective parts, flexible feature identification, and inspection of large irregular objects. State-of-the-art vision systems have also been deployed in the Cobot and Telebot cells, where they enable flexibility to product variation and fluid interaction between human and machine in AR/VR environments.
