Virtual Reality Hardware

What it is

Virtual Reality hardware immerses the user into a digital world. This world can either be a live or recorded real-world place, or alternatively, it can be a completely fictional and computer-generated location. When immersed in VR, the user can then view the space in full 3D, and interact with the virtual objects as if they were actual real physical objects in the real world.

What it’s used for in IMR

The possibilities of VR are practically endless, but within IMR we primarily use VR for simulating what a proposed production line could look like, evaluating CAD models before a physical prototype is manufactured, training, and data visualisation.
