Within this role, Dr Fraser helps foster relationships between industry and academia with a focus on helping IMR play a greater role in European-level discussions and initiatives linked to research and innovation in the manufacturing sector.
In short, Dr. Fraser is a qualified Strategic Project Manager (IPMA Level C certified, June 2014) with over 12 years of experience in ICT research in the Public Sector. He previously managed Trinity College’s largest European Funded Programme called Edge (€12M+) encompassing 71 projects within the Programme. In addition, he has previously worked in project administration and Programme Management roles at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics (€75M+) where he managed 84 STEM projects from initiation to completion owning the management of project risks, scope, and budget. Dr. Fraser also has extensive National / International funding experience through time at Science Foundation Ireland. As part of Science Foundation Ireland’s Performance Improvement Division, he was involved in shaping Ireland’s National scientific research policy and monitoring progress against the same. A key factor in Dr. Fraser’s experience has been building and fostering relationships with the Irish research community, Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation (DBEI), Knowledge Transfer Ireland (KTI), and the SFI Research Centres.
