What it is
The Dlyte 100H is a compact industrial dry electro polisher. Working on the same principles as traditional electropolishing, this machine employs a dry medium to remove excess material roughness from a metallic component. The benefits of this technology are that it does not create micro scratches on components when finishing, environmentally friendly, can be used across a broad range of materials and is inherently more environmentally friendly than alternatives.
What it’s used for in IMR
IMR will be investigating this technology for its applicability across a number of industries such as polishing of cast and additively manufactured implants, cleaning of laser-cut stents and the deburring of machine components.
