About Barry Kennedy
CEO, Irish Manufacturing Research
Barry is CEO and a director of IMR. He has overall responsibility for the centre and its staff. He owns setting the strategy, objectives and direction of the company as well as the setting and delivery of the company’s culture, values, and behaviour.
Barry leads the external face of the organisation in engagements with governments and their agencies, industry and our local communities. He is responsible for building and leading the senior executive team and for allocating resources to the company’s priorities; for example, deciding where IMR spends its time and resources.
He brings to the board all relevant matters pertaining to the operations of the organisation and ensuring that the Research Technology Organisation (RTO) is compliant on all legal and financial matters.
